The Crying Heart Brooches are a small series of work inspired by the crying heart tattoo on my right wrist. The Crying Heart can represent pain, longing, vulnerability, and resilience. I wear my crying heart tattoo as a reminder to be both vulnerable and resilient in times of pain and difficulty, and created these brooches to be worn as talismans of unfaltering courage and tenacity.
